Swan - Reinventing Performance Reviews
The SWAN project was special project sanctioned by the CEO of Razorfish. The idea was to reinvent performance management. We had a traditional performance management system that was too many questions and a yearly progress that no one liked to do and employees didn't find valuable.
We pulled a special cross-functional team together that included user experience, strategy, technology and me (HR) to use a design thinking process to reinvent performance. The team came up with the idea of a methodology and app that used 4 platforms - Setting Expectations, Growing Talents, Ongoing Communication, and Extended Networks. We also created an app experience that assisted HR and Leaders to ensure that we could identify and take employees through three stages of their employee cycles - challenged, comfortable, and excelling.
